Moved by Bikes

Moved By Bikes was founded with the mission to create simply!

Surfing is so much better when you can bike to the beach! We were frustrated with the racks on the market, they were not easily disassembled and were not stable with long boards, and so the MBB Surfboard Rack was born.

QUICK RELEASE BARS AND STABLE MOUNTING

Our racks are based on our quick release bars. The splined bar design means that a simple push button is all that is needed to attach the bars to your frame brackets. Just press a button to remove it when you return from your surf session. When you're ready to go again, simply slide them in until they click into place.

STABLE MOUNTING IN 3 CONFIGURATIONS

The racks are available in 3 versions: longboard, shortboard and scooter. Choose the one that suits your needs. All racks are made from aluminum and stainless steel to ensure they won't rust on you in coastal environments. The hardware was designed for maximum versatility to fit almost any bike and to work with just about any surfboard. If you have any questions about how racks can fit your bike, send us a quick photo, we are happy to check it out and advise you on the best rack for your bike.

Our longboard racks mount directly to your frame, making them super stable even with longboards and even stand up paddle (SUP) boards up to around 25 lbs. Racks also work great with shortboards. The front bracket is designed to attach directly to the head tube of your bike frame, one of the strongest places on your frame. The rear rack can be mounted to your seat post, or a conventional rear rack if you have one (the box comes with hardware to support both options)

Our longboard rack installation video gives you a complete overview of the rack's features and mounting options, take a quick look to see how the racks would fit on your bike!

Not everyone can have a short bike ride after their break. If you need to cover a little more distance, or simply prefer traveling on your moped or scooter, our scooter racks are for you. We've adapted our same quick release bars with unique mounting hardware specifically tailored to work with tubular racks common on mopeds and scooters.

Our moped rack installation video gives you a complete overview of the moped rack installation procedure. We've gone out of our way to show off the wide range of installation options this hardware supports. If you still have questions after watching the video, send us some photos of your scooter and we'll tell you how we recommend installing it.
