Our longboard racks are well suited for use with SUPs with the following limitations:
- We recommend racks for boards up to approximately 11.33 kg.
- Heavier boards are difficult to ride on the side of the bike and will exceed the load capacity of the bars.
- SUPs are wide and you will need space under your handlebars. For the most part, this means you can only carry a SUP with a Beach Cruiser with a cruiser bar set.
- Standard racks have just under 10.16 cm of space for your board.
- Many SUPs have a width of 10.16 cm to 12.7 cm.
- The good news is that it's relatively easy to bend the U-shaped bottom part of the bars to fit wider SUPs. If you have an inflatable board, it is probably thicker than 15.24 cm.
- We offer a set of replacement lower bars for use with inflatable SUPs.
