TWO OF OUR FAVORITE TWIN FINS COMBINED INTO ONE BOARD

Building on our love of twin fins, we kept many of the design elements that made our OG Baron one of the most beloved boards of all time, combining old school speed with new school style. The Baron Flyer has flotation in the right places to easily get past flat sections and glide over the wave, while still allowing you to get on rail or push the fins even at high speeds.

A slightly more pronounced curve than the original Black Baron ensures enough rocker to stay in the pocket, while generating and maintaining plenty of speed. This is complemented by a moderate single concave that transforms into a double concave, providing lift and liveliness, and a balanced, manageable outline. The other main change is an even flatter deck, with low rails. Of course, the round tail with flyer keeps generous width in the center while having a relatively pulled-in tail. Thus, the Baron Flyer surfs ¼” wider than your OG Black Baron dimensions.

The fin placement has also been moved forward to maintain the balance between looseness and control, with the tail being narrower than the OG Black Baron. This allows for quick and reliable engagements, and easy rail-to-rail transitions, even in weak conditions. Whatever wave you choose, the Baron Flyer gives you the freedom to take new lines and go faster than ever in small waves.

  • Upon receipt of your board, make sure to open the package in the presence of the delivery person and check its contents before signing the delivery note.
  • If the board and/or the package is damaged, automatically make detailed reservations.
  • Also take photos from different angles (boards + package) and send us photos + delivery slip within 24 hours to contact@surflounge.fr
  • If the reservations are not reported and signed, unfortunately no recourse will be possible.

Rocker

A global low to flat rocker, perfectly suited to create speed and glide in small to medium conditions.

Fin configuration

The Baron Flyer comes standard as a twin fin.

  • For Futures boxes, we recommend the JSxMFC Twin Fin, tested and approved for this design.

  • For FCS boxes, we recommend the Power Twin.

Glassing specifications

  • 5’2" to 5’9": 4 oz deck x 4 oz bottom

  • 5’10" to 6’2": 4 x 3 oz deck x 4 oz bottom

  • 6’4" and up: 4 x 4 oz deck x 4 oz bottom

(All sizes feature Hybrid Fibre tail strip reinforcements)

Rail type

The Baron Flyer features flat and low rails, a consequence of the flat deck. This allows for volume to be hidden in the right places for more flotation, while still allowing for high-speed turns.
