AN INSTANT CLASSIC: THE BIG BARON
The Big Baron is inspired by the mid-lengths that previous generations surfed on the famous Gold Coast points. This traditional base is combined with a more modern bottom contour and a twin fin setup, complemented by a drawn-in round tail for more hold. Because on this board, you're going to build speed and engage the rail... a lot.
A generally flat rocker generates and maintains momentum even in the weakest conditions, while the vee running through the entire board, from nose to tail, with an additional double concave at the fins, allows it to transition from rail to rail while maintaining its maneuverability. The board has a generous volume distribution along its entire length, with relatively low rails, allowing for high-speed turns.
As a bonus, the Big Baron naturally improves your surfing, and this progression transfers almost immediately to the shorter, higher-performance boards that most of us want to surf when conditions and mindset are right. The Big Baron is designed to give a lot while asking little in return: more time to position yourself and adjust your lines, easier and earlier wave entry, and the ability to go further and stay longer in the water.
Recommended fin choice: JS Twin Fin for Futures or FCSII Power Twin (both pictured).

Harrison Roach – Taille : 177 cm // Poids : 72 kg
Rides 6’4” x 20” x 2 9/16” = 34,3L
Rides 7’6” x 21 ¾” x 2 7/8” = 50L
Joel Parkinson – Taille : 183 cm // Poids : 87 kg
Rides 6’8” x 20 3/4” x 2 5/8” = 38,4L
Luke Egan – Taille : 180 cm // Poids : 90 kg
Rides 7’0” x 21 3/4” x 3” = 48,7L
